Hi Everybody,

Thank you to everybody for their flexibility as we had to re-locate the glow round to Johnny this week. As far as back-up courses go, it doesn't get much better than Johnny! It was an absolutely gorgeous night and it was so much fun! Congratulations to the winners, Robert Silva & Jared Roan who shot -28 and won in one hole play-off against Pat McMahon an Chris Keener. Those who came out for the bonus round raised $347 for the Food Bank of the Rockies!

WOW...once again The Mansion ends up being an absolutely epic week of Winter Warriors! There were 109  Winter Warriors out at the extremely special Mansion course! You all helped to raise $616 for the Food Bank of the Rockies in one week! That's incredible! Thank you so much to Jim Cannon and Mrs. Cannon for making this last week possible! A ton of work went into preparing the course. Thanks to Dan Beers, Scott Magill, Kerry Hicks, John Seelhoff and Bob Zook for their help with the course. Thank you to Dave Nunez and Dave Suger (the rocks were a nice touch!) who stepped up and helped direct parking (which was a HUGE help!). Thank you to everybody who carpooled so that all the cars fit! A HUGE thank you to the folks that made CTP donations (there were some seriously sweet prizes this week!): Ian Millard, Kathy & Steve Hardyman (Disc Diva), Mitch Sonderfan (Vibram), Dale Ryden, Dave Straight, Mark Sharpe, Alex Johnson, Matt Burris & Camden Farmer!!! Thank you to Tom Hamilton who lugged his basket from his home to the Yale hole!

Congratulations to Robert Nichols (3rd Win!) and Garland Judd who shot an awesome -19! There were also two aces by Will Flemming and PJ Broeking who took home $53.75 each.

It sure is getting exciting as we head into the final week at Badlands! Robert Nichols is in first at -148 with a -20 to drop. Crazy that he shoots -19 at The Mansion and it doesn't go towards his cumulative score...that's when you know you've been shooting pretty good. Mitch is only two strokes behind at -146 with a -16 drop (so essentially 4 bonus strokes going into the last week). And then you have the darkhorse...Chris Keener who is only one behind Mitch at -145 and has a -12 to drop (4 bonus strokes on Mitch!). Seriously, anything could happen as we're heading to the Badlands 27 birdiefest! Congratulations to the newest members of the -100 Club: Doug Smith, Chad Francis & Gene Covard! The really big news is that Courtney Gantt passes Noemi Bjerkaas by 2 strokes to take over 3rd place in the Women's division! Also, just a reminder, that player's in the Top 10 this week cannot be partnered together. I've posted pictures of the Winter Warrior Trophies (made by Disc Diva!) on the Mile High Disc Golf facebook page, so check them out! They're certainly worth playing for! Just a reminder that tie breakers are determined by next lowest dropped score (i.e. seventh lowest score of each player). If the seventh score is a tie, it then goes to the eight lowest score, and so on. Here are the scores!

WW7 at The Mansion! (please click on the link below):
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... li=1#gid=0
Please let me know if you see ANY inaccuracies with your score and I'll get it fixed!

This has been a big week that you should all be very proud of. Between the Glow Round and the Mansion, $963 was raised for the Food Bank of the Rockies! That takes the total raised to $7,238.50. This obliterates the goal we had set at the start of the year of $6,000! This has been a record year for Winter Warriors in many aspects (which I will be compiling and sharing later)! We've still got one more great week left at Badlands and of course let's keep this momentum going strong and support the Soup R Food bowl on February 4th!

I'm assuming the meeting/sign-up is going to be at the pavillion by 1 as opposed to in the back by the softball fields/skatepark??
Looking forward to seeing you all in the morning.

Hi Everybody,

Crazy that 13 weeks have come and gone! What a great season it has been. It definitely lived up to it's name as it was one of the coldest and snowiest to date. Despite the cold, snow, ice, mud and wind, you came out in masses week after week to support the cause! Ray and I are so proud to be a part of this amazingly giving disc golf community! The unofficial fundraising results for Winter Warriors Season 7 is $7,519! We set a goal of $6,000 raised for this season you far exceeded that! Thank you so much for your support!

This week we had 62 Winter Warriors brave the cold and wind at Badlands. Initially, it looked like it was going to be a nice and cool day...then the wind showed up! Congrats to Michael Newman (3rd win!) and Jared Roan (2nd win...watch out for this guy next year!) who shot -20 (extremely impressive considering the conditions!). With the -20, Michael Newman jumps into 9th place and grabs a trophy (he started the day in 12th)! Also congrats to Damien Veniegas and Doug Smith who hit aces during the CTP and got their names in the hat for the Phenix Gateway Bullseye Basket drawing (Soup R Food Bowl awards...need not be present to win).

A big THANK YOU to CTP donations from Doug Bjerkaas (a sweet '03 Worlds Sparkle Predator), CHU (Annual Pass!), Ian Millard (a beautiful disc golf print), Mike Webster (discs) and Eagle & Pat McMahon (Nuggets Hat)! THANK YOU to everybody who made CTP donations this year! The CTP is a HUGE part of the Winter Warriors fundraising effort and thanks to your donations, we didn't have to purchase any CTP prizes, which means more money for the Food Bank!

Here are the Top 20 Men's Division and Top 7 Women's Division (I will be doing the final update of the spreadsheet tomorrow):

MEN'S DIVISION - Top 10 Trophy Winners:
1. Robert Nichols -148 (Winter Warrior Record! Average of -24.6!)

5. PJ Broeking -132 (wins tiebreaker with -11 as his 7th best score)
6. Eagle McMahon -132 (loses tiebreaker with -8 as his 7th best score)
7. Jeff McCormack -128
8. Captain Fidget -124
9. Michael Newman -123 (was in 12th prior to Badlands!)

16. Chad Smith -106
17. Gene Covard -100
18. Tom Hamilton -93

WOMEN'S DIVISION - Top 3 Trophy Winners:
1. Michelle Burghardt -101! Winter Warrior Record! First woman to score -100 or better!

3. Noemi Bjerkaas -55
Honorable Mention:
4. Courtney Gantt -52
5. Paige Bjerkaas -47
6. Laura Sahlman -31
7. Marsha Sonderfan -30

WINTER WARRIORS (Made All 14 Events!) - Trophy Winners:
1. Andrew Herrera
2. Doug Smith
3. Jeff McCormack

We'll be presenting the trophies at the Soup R Food Bowl Awards ceremony. If you're not able to make the Soup R Food Bowl Awards ceremony, please contact me and I'll do my best to get your trophy to you ASAP. Also, we'll be doing the drawing for the Phenix Bullseye Basket drawing at the Soup R Food Bowl awards. You can still get your name in that drawing for $10 (I will post the list of raffle entrants tomorrow...but your odds are good as I'm sure there are currently less than 20 in the drawing). Ray and I are already thinking about Winter Warriors 8 so please don't hesitate to shoot your ideas our way. THANK YOU for an amazing season! We'll be seeing you in November for Winter Warriors 8!

Hi Everybody,

Here is who I have entered in the drawing for the Phenix Gateway Bullseye basket. Some people are listed twice which indicates that they either got two aces, or an ace and purchased a ticket. If you have hit an ace during a round or CTP, you can still purchase a ticket to get your name in the hat again (i.e. Robert Nichols could buy a ticket for $10 to get his name in the hat 3 times). YOU can still get your name in the drawing! A ticket costs $10 and all the money goes to the Winter Warriors fundraising efforts for the Food Bank of the Rockies. We're doing the drawing at the Soup R Food awards and you need not be present to win. As you can see, there's only 20 names in the drawing...so the odds are pretty good! Just to refresh your memory, here's the basket that you could win: http://gdstour.com/disc-golf-targets/bu ... -portable/ If you think you're supposed to be on the list below, and you're not, please let me know. A HUGE thanks to Phenix Disc Sports for donating this awesome basket!
